Operations/Support Engineer

We are looking for Operations Engineers to strengthen our team in Espoo, Finland. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As part of our operations team your primary responsibilities include providing premium technical assistance and rapid response support to our telecom customers via email and telephone. Over time these responsibilities may be extended to system deployments (remote and on-site). Due to the international nature of our business, the work may involve reasonable amounts of worldwide travel to customer locations. We value persons with the ability to work independently without losing sight of the team's goals. 

WE EXPECT YOU TO HAVE:

Experience working with Unix (Solaris especially)
- Installation, administration, troubleshooting
- Knowledge about networking, file systems, external storage, management systems

Language skills
- Good verbal and written communications skills at least in English
- One additional language preferred, listed by order of importance; Spanish, Portuguese

Personal skills
- Ability to work independently and directly with customers (technical staff), with an open mind and problem-solving mindset
- Highly motivated and prepared to work flexible hours with customers in all time zones. 

WE APPRECIATE IF YOU HAVE SKILLS IN:

Telecom and Internet protocols:
- SMSC protocols, WAP, SS7 signaling, RADIUS, DIAMETER
- SOAP, LDAP
- Video streaming protocols
- RTSP, progressive HTTP
- Configuring and administering routers/load balancers
- F5 BIG-IP & Cisco
-  Setting up and maintaining server clusters with Veritas Cluster Server and Sun Cluster
- Scripting experience (Python, Java, PHP, Perl)
