Exomi Enables SMS in IP DECT Wireless Network in Romania
Espoo Finland – May 2nd, 2007 – Exomi, a renowned provider of service delivery platform solutions for SMS, MMS and WAP services, today announced an agreement with RTX Telecom A/S for the delivery of the Exomi SMS Exchange solution to RTX's IP DECT Wireless Network customer in Romania.
RTX Telecom, a leading wireless communication and IP solution provider based in Denmark, works actively with numerous network operators in high-growth markets in Latin America, the Middle East and Eastern Europe. The network, which is being rolled out globally, consists of a complete IP Wireless Network system, which offers high speed Wi-Fi data access and voice via DECT and VoIP. The Wireless Network solution from RTX supports full mobility for handheld terminals, and the extension with SMS services completes the RTX network features supporting handheld cellular-like devices.
A part of the Exomi Messaging Gateway (EMG) product suite, the Exomi SMS Exchange, enables the deployment of SMS service for VoIP networks including person-to-person messaging and SMS application connectivity. A full interconnectivity solution is also included in the delivery, allowing VoIP users to exchange messages with traditional cellular network users. Real-time billing integration and an optional rating engine are available to serve the growing prepaid market as well as non-traditional revenue models.
